Embroidered map of New York State, outlining and naming the counties and showing Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. A ten-line text reads:
Lake Erie is the celebrated scene of Perry's victory Over a British fleet, September 10 1818
Lake Champlain is celebrated for the victory gained by Macdonough over a British fleet of far superior force, Sept. 11, 1814
Long Island is the most important island belonging to the State of New York. 140 miles in length and from 10 to 15 broad; contains three counties and numerous flourishing towns, population 67,000
Population of the State of New York in 1820 was 1,372,812. Albany is the Capital.
